sister diana is the director of the
school. Having entered the sisters of
st. Joseph of Rochester community
about 40 years ago, she remains very
active in this ministry. The most
unique thing about the school is the
number of volunteers who help out
daily. At least two to three individuals sit in with students to assist them
in taking notes or reading directions.
The school is bursting with color.
The walls are filled with student
art work: paintings, sculpture, and
drawings. i left with an image of a
school alive and vibrant--and filled
with hope.

St. Peter’s Soup Kitchen
serving the West side community
of Rochester since 1982, st. Peter’s
soup Kitchen started out as a once-a-week saturday soup and sandwich
Program. Today they serve on average more than 140 people a day who
come from all walks of life. Many
have problems with addictions, mental and physical illnesses, lost homes,
and low wages.
